Gratiot Hat Pattern
Sometimes a knitting project is so compelling that as soon as you cast off you want to cast on another. It’s a little bit like when you can’t stop eating from a bowl of potato chips. As I designed this hat, I’d cast off one, and wonder what it would look like in a different yarn? And then – what about a different gauge? Before I knew it, I had nearly a dozen hats in four different weights, and an infinity scarf sitting next to me.
Gratiot is simple to knit, and moves quickly. The stretchiness of the ribbedpattern means that it will stretch to fit the heads of all your favorite people, from youth to adult, and still look great. (Hint: this makes it a perfect gift hat.)Because it is written for variety of yarn weights, you can grab any yarn that you love from your stash and have something for your gift box by the end of the weekend.
