Ketchem Cowl Pattern
This simple, tubular cowl allows the knitter to use small bits of hand painted yarn or combine two contrasting colors to highlight the varying widths of zig-zagging stripes. Ketcham was designed to work with the Dinner Party series of yarns dyed by cjkoho Designs based on work by Judy Chicago celebrating the accomplishments of women in history; although it will look lovely in any DK weight yarn.Itisnamed for Emily Burton Ketcham, a Michigan native. She is best known for being a charter member of the Grand Rapids, Michigan suffrage groups, and began her work to earn women the right to vote in 1873 when she fought to remove gender as a qualification for voting.
